Privacy policy

1. Who we are

AgencyVerity is an online service based in Montréal (Québec, Canada) that helps businesses choose a web agency and understand its quotes. The person in charge of the protection of personal information is AgencyVerity’s founder, reachable at contact@agencyverity.com.

2. What we collect

• Your project, agency shortlist and ticked checklists: stored only in your browser. We do not receive them.
• Your account (if you analyze a quote): your email address, creation date, analysis credits and analysis history.
• Your quotes: the text of the quote you send for analysis, and the analysis result (which quotes sentences from it).
• Your payments: handled by Stripe. We never see your card number; we receive the amount, date and status of the payment.
• Agencies that sign up: the information given in the form, including contact details of client references the agency sends us with their consent.
• Technical data: our host keeps usual logs (IP address, date, page requested). To limit abuse, we keep a non-reversible fingerprint of the IP address.

3. Why we use it

• To provide the service you asked for (quote analysis, account, directory).
• To prevent abuse, for example using several accounts to get several free analyses.
• To bill and meet our tax obligations.
• To email you about your account (sign-in code, receipt). We do not send advertising without your consent.

4. Who we share it with, and where

We sell no personal information. We use three providers, who process data on our behalf, partly outside Québec (notably in the United States):

• Cloudflare (website hosting, database, sending emails);
• OpenAI (analysis of quote text): your text is sent for the analysis only. We ask that it not be stored for reuse; OpenAI states it does not use API data to train its models and may keep it up to 30 days to detect abuse;
• Stripe (payment).

Before submitting a quote, you can hide information that is not needed (people’s names, addresses, phone numbers).

5. How long we keep it

• Full quote text: deleted as soon as the analysis ends.
• Analysis result: 90 days, then deleted automatically. You can delete it sooner.
• Account: until you ask for it to be deleted.
• Payment information: 6 years, as tax rules require.
• IP fingerprints: 30 days.

6. Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Access to our admin tools is limited and protected. No system is perfectly safe: if a privacy incident creates a risk of serious harm, we will notify you and Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access your information, correct it, delete it, receive it in a common format, or withdraw your consent, by writing to contact@agencyverity.com. We answer within 30 days. You can also file a complaint with Québec’s Commission d’accès à l’information.

8. Cookies

We use no advertising cookies and no audience measurement tools. If you sign in, a single essential cookie keeps your session open.

9. Changes

We will publish any change to this policy here, with its date. For significant changes, we will let you know by email.
